Crying straight after a feed

My little angel cries as soon as she has a feed, I would have thought that this should be one of the calmest times for her. I'm thinking it maybe colic but I'm not sure if I should use the colic relief every feed or try and sooth her myself or use the dummy? I don't want to get into bad habits, but then again I don't want her to be crying either.

And there she goes again...she also wakes up crying about an hour to an hour and a half after I put her down...every time....

are you BF or FF?? maybe a windy belly?? i know when i was BF Jack was very windy...so we tried infacol drops...they did help to a certain degree...BUT he was just a very windy bub early on. And yep he would cry after every feed.... maybe try elevating bub more whilst feeding??

relux?? yep Mia was very windy too and has only gotten better in the past 2 weeks.

I'm bf and do get a lot of milk being brought up. Sometime she cries when its brought up, sometimes not.

I'd say wind to. Try burping between feeds as well as after.
I used to refuse to put mine down til I had at least 2 burps! Plus I had the end of their cot/pram/bouncer whatever elevated.
Could be a bit of reflux too.
My DD2 had colic, but she screamed for hours at night. Was an angel through the day.

This actully sounds like reflux to me. The fact that she sounds like a spewy baby and she cry's when bringing it up, and also after a feed when she has full belly. Does she cry ony when you lay her down and then settle (at least a little) when you pick her up?

I was also told with reflux babies, when burping, don't pat their back as it can make he stomach contents slosh around (and up). Best to just rub their backs - much more gentle

Cameron used to be a crying baby after feeds when he was a new born. He was also a chucky baby too. He seemed to squirm alot when I laid him down (no matter how long I had gently burped him for) - in our case I think it was wind. I used the infacol drops and it did seem to help a little. I think it was about the 7 or 8 week mark when he stopped the crying and now finally after 8 months - he seems to be almost finished the chucking too. Hopefully it will all ease for you soon and it will be a more enjoyable feeding time.

She does cry when I put her down, I usually need to hold her up right for a good 15 minutes. She seems to cry less when on my knees on her tummy but for a short period only. The best position seems to be up over my shoulder which is another reason I think its wind.

DS was always screaming after a feed & was also very chucky. The paediatrician advised me to give him 2mls of liquid Mylanta before each feed. I only gave him 1.5mls & It worked a treat. He was soooo much better after that. They do get much better around the 12 week stage when their gut starts to mature.
