Question Borrow a cat carrier in Caboolture/Redcliffe area?

I was just wondering if there was anyone in my local area (Caboolture/Redcliffe) who might have a hard cat carrier/cage I could borrow for a day or two in two weeks time?? I have only a small soft-sided one and I think it'll be too squished for the cat I'm picking up (11mo old Ragdoll)... Or even if you've got one to give away I'll swap my soft one for it if a smaller one would suit you better.

I'm picking up the cat on the 18th Feb so I could fetch the carrier that day and drop it off the next day.

You may be able to hire one from your vet otherwise you can buy cardboard ones which are fine for kittens and non-crazy cats and they only cost about $10. Sorry I am not in your area anymore otherwise you could borrow mine.
    HTH.

Thanks anyway - someone just told me about one for sale cheap at an op-shop so I'm off to check it out.

We borrowed ours from family, but have returned it already, or I would have asked if you could borrow it also. Had we not borrowed one, we were just going to use a cardboard box for our calm cat, and hire a good one for our maniac.

Although, if I were you, I'd probably go and buy one, seeing as though you are moving soon anyway, so will need one again...

The carrier is actually *for* the move - I'd still want to buy one though because I still need to take him to the vet for a checkup and he's apparently got a broken tail too... He's also a very anxious sort so he may want to stay in it for a while... I don't think the cardboard box ones would be big enough - he's a Ragdoll so a big breed and he's nearly a year old... Also boys are bigger... Otherwise my soft carrier would probably be alright.

Maybe check online or at the big pet supply store at Morayfield near The Warehouse.

I had a look there and online as well and they're on average $50 or more to buy new... seems a bit excessive to me.

Seriously, check with a local vet. We used to borrow them out for a few days if someone was moving house, you can pick it up go and get your cat and drop him off....
