    Banana Stains!

I put this in Stain Solutions but thought I would post a separate thread as well:
Help! DD loves banana so it's now getting on everything, especially clothes (hers and mine), bibs and the cloth flats I use for general mess defence. But I didn't realise that banana stains! How can I get rid of banana stains?

I want to know this too. I find if I rinse it off under the tap straight away and then it goes in the very next wash it's not too bad. Other than that, I've tossed a few bibs LOL.

DD only eats banana that's cut up in a bowl now. Even then that can get mushy, but no where NEAR as messy as handing her a banana to eat.

It's warm enough.. just strip her down before giving her a banana hehe.

I keep a soaker bucket in the laundry sink, with a bit of enzyme based soaker in it - any grubby bibs, facewashers or anything go straight in there, and I tip the lot into the wash. It's the air turning the banana brown that sets the stain.

Thanks MD.... I figure I am going to need a banana bucket! I'll see if I can find some of that soaker next time I'm shopping.

The one I use is the Aldi version of enzyme-boosted Napisan. I only use half of what they say to, but it's enough. Alternatively, some of the pre-wash sprays have an enzyme-based component but you will have to stand and read the label cos it's not always clear.
