Question Some Advice from fellow Early Childhood professionals

    Hi all,
I was just wondering, as after reading the award i am still confused but are we all generally entitled to an RDO if we work 38 hours + a week. I am an ECT and have recently started somewhere new...everywhere else seems to offer RDOs for full time staff and the management as current work place say it is not something they have looked into yet.. i think they need to though..

40+ hours per week nets you an RDO. I have the option at my work to do 38 hours, no RDO or 40 hours, monthly RDO. Since option A lets me out at 3pm two days a week, that's what I go with. The most common option I have seen is that you work 8 hours a day, get paid 7.6, and accrue a monthly RDO. I'm not really familiar with the NSW award (it's been 5 years since I worked there!) but the place I stayed at longest there, you actually got one every 3 weeks, but I think you worked an extra 8 minutes a day to get one that often.
