    So Soon!!

Thats right ladies - this first timer is PREGNANT!!!!

As i was going to bed last night i thought perhaps i should chuck a HPT into the loo so when i get up this morn i can test - 'knowing' it would be neg but had to be sure becuase we are going to Melbourne tomorrow and i wanted to know if i could have a drink or two or not! so i stumble to the loo at 3am when my bladder woke me up and just decided to take the test. I was going to take it back to bed with me and leave it on my bedside table and read it when i woke up. I casually looked at it as i was about to turn the light off and there it was my BFP

I HAD to wake up hubby - he took a while to realise what was going on, poor bugger. And then made me go back to sleep So now he is up for work - so i peed on another stick and another BFP

Woo hoo!! we're so excited!! gonna go straight to the doc today - I'll go to FIL's practice so hopefully we can get the results rushed thru!

Ive been having a fair bit of cramping - is that normal?

    Hey hun,

    firstly CONGRATS

As for the cramps, ive had them to. Mine are the pulling kind of ones, and when i asked my doc, she said it was normal. Ask yours to if your concerned.

YAY, when will you be due?

    congratulations!!!

I had cramping in the first few weeks then they went away. They were never too painful though and as someone already mentioned more of a pulling pain.

Yep I had some really bad cramping around weeks 5-7 but then it stopped and I just getthe occasional 'pulling-stretching' feeling still.

So funny that no-one ever mentions the carmping as an early pregnancy symptom - I just assumed that I had one helluva AF on her way that was being very stubborn about starting - boy was I wrong!

    Thanks ladies!!

Im glad im not 'broken' and the cramping is normal - mine feels like someone is pushing down hard on my pubic region... hopefully it passes, it aint too comfy

Went to the doc - FIL wasnt working today but saw another doc who sent me for bloods, only to screen, not confirm. He wasnt overly forthcoming with info - didnt even advice me on what i should avoid. I asked him about foods and he said 'oh, some cheeses but thats so rare you probably dont need to worry about it'! handy! He has given me a referal for an OB/GYN so i will make an appointment to see him.

    Well.. let the waiting begin!

Oh, and rach - if i go off my last period its Oct 13 (two days after our 1st wedding anniversary!!)

Congratultions to you and hubby, thats fantastic news.
I had cramping and pulling sensations that gave some indication that something was up - kinda like ovulation pain which I knew I probably wouldnt be doing seeings how I had just ovulated. I tested and sure enough BFP, it kept up for about 1 week or so after my BFP and then settled.
