We have wooden floors in our house and want to get a rug that is softer than the one we have (bamboo style) so that DS can play and be more comfortable. We have been to carpet call, bunnings, Harvey norman etc.. they all seem so expensive!. We a very large rug and wsa wondering f anyone knew of any good places in or around Sydney that offer value for money?
we got a fairly nice one from crazy clarks. not too small either but you could buy two if you have that much space?
Otherwise you can call carpet places, warehouses and places like that, and see if they have any offcuts? Thats what a friend did, got a really decent sized square of carpet for less than $100. It's nice carpet too.
If you look on ebay - an ebay shop called rozellerugs - in Rozelle Sydney.
They have great rugs - authentic and I have been very impressed by their honesty and value. I am a bit of a fan for Pakistani rugs and have quite a collection now...
The price for one hall runner from them - wool hand knotted was $250 - I had purchased very similar - same thickness from someone up here and it was 900. So they really do well. I think they have a physical shop in Rozelle also.. HTH
