is it possible to have fertile CM for at least 3 days?

Following a m/c last month I got AF on time and then from day cd 8 - 10 I have had a small amount of fertile CM and a low and open soft cervix. I normally O around cd 15-16 so I am not sure what is going on.

Does anyone know if you can you have fertile CM for that many days?

Unfortunately I am not temping this month.

Hi Dusty, the month that I did ovulate (2nd cycle after Implanon removed) I noticed that I had a lot of fertile CM it was watery for a bit and then egg white for about 2 days and then went to watery type again.

I found CM the hardest thing to monitor but I would say yes it definately can happen and be fertile CM for a few days

The short answer is yes. I usually have fertile mucus for a few days pre-O.

Yes! Some of my cycles I had it for 4. Makes it confusing and expensive when using OPK's. Do you get O pains? They could be your best clue if you aren't temping.

Oh yeah I had it for up to 5 days pre 0 and then it turned creamy the day before O and then on O day. Thankfully I was using OPK's or else I would have assumed that I had Oed earlier

Thanks for that ladies. I had no idea. So I may not of O'd yet? I think these Chinese herbs I have been on for the last 4 weeks are giving my body the best boost and the signs are showing.
Raven I had a pain on cd 8 which got me thinking it may be O when I saw the CM. I have never consciously felt O though. After so many years of TTC I tend not to chart anymore - so unromantic and boring IMO when you are told natural conception is near impossible - but I think next month I will get back into it so I can try and work out what is going on.

It has been clear coloured every day but the really open cervix is a new thing for me. So obvious.

I usually always get it for 3-4days and then I O on the day it's gone for some reason. I'm not sure if O'ing at day 8 is a helpful thing or not though kwim? It just seems too soon. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the cycle does.

Yep as Trillian said you will O more than likely on the last day of EWCM or the day after. Good luck hun, near impossible things have happened before.....

Today is cd 13 and with it stacks of EWCM! so that has now been 6 days since it first appeared. I must be O'ing by now .

You are right Sarah, I am always happy to prove them wrong, and in fact we did very briefly last year with a natural CP after 4 years trying

    Watch out tonight DH

    Hiya
I am glad I found this thread - I have been thinking the same question. My cycles for the last 3mths have been 32 days so I assumed I would O around CD18 (10feb). I was overseas and away from DH though so did not think much about it but my CM was very watery from CD18 to CD22 - I arrived home and CD22 (14feb) and we DTD. I am now 2days late and wondering if I could possibly be pregnant?? I am now between 15 DPO & 11DPO.

It is just good to know that fertile CM can be around for several days before O.
    Cheers, Tess.
