I'm just wondering whether anyone can give me any advice?
I'm approx 10 weeks along and have had upper abdominal pain for about a month now.
I have had some bad constipation (which hasn't completely eased) and am wondering whether my distended bowels may be putting pressure on some organs in my thoracic cavity?
But on the other hand I have had the discomfort prior to the bowel issues and when I lie down I can never get comfortable (esp when I'm on my side my upper organs feel like they are "flopping" to one side??). Perhaps my abs/ muscles surrounding ribs aren't quite strong enough? I never thought it would have that sort of impact though?
Also, I've seen my doctor a fair bit recently for random problems (bleeding, cramping, the constipation and blood tests) and I don't want him to think that I just like the attention! (As crazy as that sounds...) I never thought it was a major issue before and that it would pass so I hadn't mentioned it at prior visits.
Hi M&B
I have the bad wind pain too - not much fun at all. Wonderful Chemist said to try De-Gas (the ones you swallow are better for me than the ones you chew - the swallowable ones specifically say 'for pregnant women').
They are fantastic.
Hope that helps!
Take care,
Lily
Hey Lilly,
Thanks for the advice, but it's definitely not wind pain :/
Thanks all the same! If I do have troubles with that though I'll look at the De- Gas!
