    Night nappies

help... what nappy is best for night time use??? I went back to using my cloth nappies today (which I have fallen in love with all over again) but ideally I want to get out of disposables all together so I need a nappy that will be really absorbant.

My 17 month old son also weighs 14 kg, so I am assuming I would need a OSFA or a size large???

    So, so many out there!

    GoodNight sleeptight also good.

Kester Kovers (KK) nights are good

snoozywuns by widdlewuns are the ones I love

BBB (baby beehinds bamboo) are fine for light wee-ers.

Don't use PUL covers overnight - use either a woolen soaker, flongies (longies but made of fleece) or fleece covers to ensure good air circulation.

    Everything Kaz said.

I also use green kids here - OSFA - the minky pockets are good for night time use.

I'm a huge fan of Snoozywuns too.. brilliant.

I use Wildchilds with a wool cover. I also like the Bubblebubs GNST but they are about to bring out a new night nappy at the end of the month so I will have to wait and see what that is like.

maybe an XL Kester Kovers AIO? made by Possum's Pouches

many OSFA nappies STOP at 15/16kg, so i would be inclined to go for a sized nappy (in his weight range) cos you don't know how long you'll need it for.

whatever you buy, just check the weight range.

what style of nappies suit him as day nappies?

    be guided by that
apart from the rise, high rise nappies are always better for night, even if you put low rise nappies o nhim for day
if aplix suits him in the day, go for a aplix closing night nappy
if side snaps suit him in the day, go for a SS closing night nappy

if wide crotch nappies suit him in the day, find a wide crotch night nappy

Use what you have now, that is working in the day, and apply those criteria to night nappies.

the difference beign, night nappies have many more absorbent layers.

Does he wee all thru the night
    OR
hold on all night and do a mega wee as soon as he wakes?

if he is day trained and just has the ocassional night accident, there are night trainers too, like Happy Heiny make - pocket style.
