Some babies do take ages to get teeth, but it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong. My eldest only had that many teeth at that age too. He was just really slow to get them. An interesting thing too is that he tends to lose them a little later than kids who got them earlier/on time
Sirenz.....my 17 month old only has 5 teeth, and has only just started walking....so not a text book kid by any means.
If i took every comment to heart about 'gosh, isnt she walking yet?' or 'does she ONLY have 5 teeth?'..i would be a basket case. IMO the older they get teeth the better....preferably by 21 years of age though.....
Harrison was 15 months old before he got his first tooth. He is 2 now and only has 12 teeth, the ECHN says he should have at least 8 more at his age.
I am sure there is nothing to worry about with your bub... I think it is great that he has 4 teeth!
my son whom is 8 now got all his baby teeth bar from one int he top right side... he just got that missing tooth in the last 6 months t so try not to worry i heard were born with them sometimes they get trapped and it takes longer to come down and sometimes they need help.... sometimes also we are born with out them... BUT my son got his VERY delayed but still got his!!!
I've learnt many things in the past two years.
1) There is NO book which can accurately tell you when your child will be doing something by.
2) No matter how hard you try you cannot force your child to start doing something, this includes teeth and hair growth ect. You cannot make them gain weight or grow in height.
Children will do everything in their own time
