Fever

Lily was feeling extremely hot so i took her temp and its 38.4. shes never had a temp before, what do i do? Im worried

Do you have any infant panadol Tegan? Follow the directions carefully, and if the fever doesn't reduce in 24 hrs you should see the Doctor. Also, if she develops a rash or pulls on her ears you should take her to the Doctor.

You can also sponge her off with a face washer with luke warm water and let her run around in her nappy until bed time.

I always let Matilda run around in her nappy when she has a temp and use a wet washer that is lukewarm to help cool her off & give her heaps of fluids. I hope Lily's temp goes down soon!

Thanks girls, I gave her some panodol and put her to bed as she was tired. She feels normal now. A tad warmer on her face but body is cool, so thinks its gone down.
