I am new to this forum!
We are TTC after a M/C @ 8 weeks in Oct 2008.
We had a M/C @ 12 weeks in April 2006.
We also have a beautiful 17 month old daughter - who has a very severe rare illness!
I am finding it hard to conceive as my cycles are irregular and very long!
They can range from 55 days to 34 days!
I am using urine ovulation tests, taking temp and maybe baby!
My last 2 cycles were exactly 40 days - so I guess that means I ovulatate around day 26??
I am finding it hard to relax about it all as we desperately want another baby!
Its hard everytime I hear one of my friends or family members is happy- as we were due in the start of May!
Hi TanyaD,
Firstly welcome to BB!
I have the irregular cycle thing, which is unexplained. We are ttc atm and are finding it extremely difficult. I have actually engaged the services of a naturopath who helped regulating my cycles and making it easier to pinpoint ovulation. Is that something you are indulge in (they are a bit expensive)
I found that ovulation sticks & maybe baby didn't help. Maybe baby just showed ferns all the time (I have high oestrogen levels)
In relation to whether or not you ovulated on day 26 - did you have some symptoms like EWCM?
I had a m/c in October and went from being a 32 day girl, to having cycles all over the place ranging from 36 - 39 days.
I decided to go and get some acupuncture - and this immediately helped and my cycle went to 30 days. She said that she had given me a "stronger treatment" in order to help with this.
Not everyone's cup of tea but I swear by my acupuncture now and have real confidence that this is going to help me in the long run.
Thanks so much for your reply!
I will def try acupunture! I was thinking of it and am glad it has helped you!
I had an ultrasound yesterday and they found I have very mild PCOS. Slightly increased follicles in both ovaries so this would explain my irratic cycles.
Also I heard that m/c can be a symptom of PCOS. I wonder what I can do to help my body apart from acupunture? I am on specials herb s from a fertility place and am seing my doc on Monday for blood tests etc.
I am very interested in trying IUI.
Has anyone got any further info on gyno's that do this procedure in Eastern Suburbs of Melb?
I have made a booking wtih Dr Greg Fox who is meant to be fantastic!
He works in at the Royal Womens Melb & out in Croydon.
Hopefully he can sort me out!
Will prob try clomid first then go for a couple of rounds of IUI.
My friend did this after TTC for 2 years and fell pregnant second try!
