I am in two minds about getting pregnant again. I have a 5 year old which I had at 23, but we are now thinking of having another one. Up until last year I was looking forward to getting pregnant, now all of a sudden I am not so keen or I want to wait longer. I am not pregnant yet but we have started trying. The other thing is that this would be my last one as hubby won't have any more than two (which I think is half the problem, it feels like the end of the road as far as having kids goes). Has anyone gone through this before? Was it just the age difference?
It is really quite a depressing feeling, and I would like to know what I could do to get through it.
I think its only natural to be nervous. We had planned to have 2 close together but i found out i had PCOS and Bubs #2 took a while to conceive. We have just over 3 yrs between them now. I had fears that it would be my last pregnancy and knowing i was expecting a girl i was worried DP would be content and not want a 3rd baby.
I think you should speak with DP and tell him how your feeling. Explain that your unsure if you want this baby to be the last. Tell him how you dont know how you'll feel in a few yrs time and your not comfortable with the feeling thats this could be it.
Pregnancy is a scarey and nervous thing but it can also be wonderful, exciting and full of beautiful memories you'll tresure for ever.
Maybe you need make a list of reasons to wait and reasons not to wait. All the positive things about having a baby and why your not ready.
