Q??? can anyone help me? hope I'm not offending by posting

I posted this question in the pregnancy section, but got no replies. so I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me. I really do hope this doesn't offend anyone by posting here.

I found out I was pg last week. and I'm estatic!! this will be baby number 2.

But I got an ultrasound report from 2 weeks ago, it said I had a thickened endometrium 17mm with small cystic areas, that required further gyno investigation. Ultrasound also didn't show an embryo.

They also said my uterus "seemed to be septate" (a fibrious (sp?) growth in the middle of the uterus, often causing pg to end in miscarriage or not being able to go full term). I went 10 days over with DD then got induced. No one ever said anything first time round and I'm presuming it doesn't grow. very confused here

I was having the ultrasound to check my ovaries etc as my last period was 5th Oct.

Has anyone heard of this??? esp during Pregnancy??? I searched internet (vow to never do that again).

Is this what they classify as endometriosis?? I've never had it before, I'm 25 and had my first dd 11 mths ago.

I got my BT back today and HGC was 13 000, so I'm geussing I'm about 5-6 weeks. the dr called me and said he wants me to go for another ultrasound sooner rather than later.

I need all the help I can get I'm getting very stressed. I'm going to get the ultrasound monday morning, but that's too far away.

    thanks Monique

    Hi Monique

Firstly hun try to stay calm.I know easy for me to say but its best to try to stay positive and calm for you and your bub.

Endo I thought makes you bleed more often not prolonged periods. PCOS is more associated with AF missing for months and with cysts and more growths on and around the ovaries.

I hope it all works out hun. I really really hope your next u/s goes well and they find the embryo.

Thinking of you sweets....please let us know how you go..........

A septate uterus is where the inside of the uterus is divided by a wall (septum). The septum may extend only part way into the uterus or it may reach as far as the cervix.
My understanding has always been that a septate uterus is a different kettle of fish altogether from PCOS or endometriosis, although I suppose you could have both.

Sending you lots of :hugs: I hope your next ultrasound gives you some comfort ... make you you take a list of questions to ask your Dr when you see them next .. it's often all the unknown factors that make something like this really stressful.
