Ok, we just had a minor PG scare. Keep in mind we are not actually doing anything to prevent a PG but would prefer holding it at bay for a while longer. We do not want to take any chemical based BC or do anything permanent right now and we hate condoms. So we understand the risk but would like to minimize while we wait for AF to return.
so today when I was buying the PG test kits I started looking at the ovulation pee sticks and it got me to thinking. they are base don the same principal as the PG pee sticks - one line equals no, two lines equals yes or more specifically it equals higher level of LH levels. So my thought was at least 5 minutes prior to DTD, DW can pee on one of those sticks and if we get one line then we have a lower risk of PG (yes I know it does not mean that the swimmers wont live long enough to be successfully in find the egg). If we pull two lines we either skip sex, use a condom or stick with the pull and pray method .
Anyhow, my question(s) are this:
1) Does this make sense, is there any reason this shouldn't work well enough to add a little more layer of risk reduction?
2) Does a non-PG but nursing woman produce elevated LH surges that would create false positives on these test sticks?
