Well I went for my post gallbladder-ectomy appointment today and head-honcho Surgeon man sat there calm as calm and told me they found a lymphoma in my gallbladder.
I looked out the window and thought, "Just like that, in one sentence, my life has changed."
So, it's CT scans on Sat, another appt in a week's time and then I'll find out about a referal to an oncologist. Apparently lymphomas in gallbladders are sooper dooper rare, lucky for me it's "low-grade" - I'll be hanging on to that fact by the teeth if necessary while I wait the next week out.
However I already have been experiencing a bloating feeling around the liver and a stronger than usual need to sleep - both of these things are typical b-cell follicular lymphoma symptoms. So in a way I feel curiously calm, now that it's out in the open.
Sorry mods, please rename the title if you think it's necessary.
