    Scratched fridge

    Hi all,

Another DD (or possibly Mum) inflicted domestic godess question.

Mum found DD the magnetic alphabet letters to go on the fridge (that I had been unable to find at several shops). But they were from a cheap shop and I'm not entirely sure whether they had actually been tested on real fridges!!! DD was moving them all over the fridge and having a great time, but when I looked there were scratches all over the fridge and I can't get them off.

I'm thinking I need some sort of paint to cover the marks? Anyone know of anything?

(The alphabet magnets have been temporarily set aside!)

    Hi Star,
You can get a furniture "pen" from Bunnings or autobarn.

You should see my fridge from any of those kiddy magnets

you can buy fridge paint from bunnings.. I am yet to redo my fridge but I have been told it works.. Not sure if you had deep scratches though, Maybe they have some sore of putty thing you put on first

Have they actually scratched the paint off the fridge or is it just that the magnets have left black marks on the fridge? You might be able to scrape them off or scrub them with a scourer, that's if they aren't actual scratches.

Nah, spend heaps of money and go and get it painted at a panel beaters. Then you could get some funky colours! My sister took her fridge to a panel beaters to get painted, but just got it white again. I would have gone blue...don't know how much it cost though...

Thanks girls. Sounds like the furniture pen might be the go if I can find one. They are definitely scratches - not black marks- already tried that one.

Would love a funky fridge design but it's not on the priority list at the moment- we're starting building our house, so any spending on home stuff is not a goer at the moment - I'll have a massive list of things I want done in a few months time!
