Alice Springs with a toddler

Hi there,

We are thinking about travelling to Alice Springs/Uluru in June and I was wondering if anyone else has travelled there with kids and could recommend things to do and places to stay. Some of the things I want to do (like the camel rides) say they do not take children under 10 and Olivia will only be 18 months old when we are there. We are happy to hire a car and do lots of sightseeing on our own but some ideas of where to go would be good.

ps.. We tossed up the idea of Dh and Ds1 taking a helicopter flight but it was just so expensive so I looked into other things.. You can get a really cheap sunset camel ride around the base of uluru.. I think you contact the NT either goverment or tourist page.. just google camel rides at uluru..

Oh no so sorry we wont be there at the same time Nic. We booked our flights today I;m so excited about it! It is a place DH and I have always wanted to go and now we have decided to do it. I thought the camel rides had age limits but I will do a big search some time this week and maybe ring a few places. I'm still after some ideas of places to stay.....

I think we are staying at the Ayres ROck camping grounds.. We will have our camper trailer so camping it is lol

We can't wait either.. So excited about seeing it..

Devils marbles and Kings Canyon are a must see

Hi there, I remember going at a great wildlife park at Alice springs with our toddler . This was going back about 7 years ago now.
