I would love to know this also
hi
i was just having a read through the centrelink site about the household payments, and the one for single income families says recipients for FTB B.
now, there is a payment for general workers earning under so much a year isnt there??
so, as i work part time, we get FTB B, so am i eligible for 2 payments?? it does say that if you are eligible for more than one, then you will receive more than one.
just wanted to find out befroe i got my hopes up.
I would love to know this also
I think the tax office and centrelink double check so theers no double ups, so I probably wouldn't get your hopes up as it seems a fairly large loop hole... thats what I would think anyway, I am probably wrong lol
You will receive two payments as long as your DH earns under $100k. They are basing their figures on the last financial year's tax return info![]()
What if you:
Get part B but also were working as of your tax return last year and earned under $100K? Would I get 2 payments because Im now on matt leave (will be working part time) but was working full time last year so last tax return??
Aslo DH will get one as well coz he earns under that amount as well...
Or will I just get ine payment and DH one payment??
Becasue the CL website does say if you elegable for more than one then you may get more that one??
Dont want o be greedy but would meen a few more months at home full time before I have to go back to work pt...
Cheers
Kate
Oh Krystal = sorry to hyjack your post!!
As far as I know Kafer girl, the most any one family will receive is 2 payments.
Hopefully someone else knows for sure?
no probs on hijacking lol
it just seems that i will be eligible for the tax bonus (one each for dp and myself)
and we receive FTB B.. so we should be eligible for that payment too?
i am in the same boat krystle.. i am just waiting and see cause no one really knows for sure. i did hear on the news a while ago if you earned less than 11grand or maybe it was 17 grand you wouldnt be eligible.
At a glance:
If you were entitled to FTB Part B on 3rd February, you will get a payment of $900 per family. This is a payment from Centrelink.
If you were entitled to FTB Part A on 3rd February and have a child between 4-18, you will get a payment of $950 per eligable child. This is a payment from Centrelink.
If you are required to lodge an 07/08 tax return, you will be entitled to a payment of $900 if you're income is up to $80,000.
The payments from Centrelink will be made between 11-20 March for those that receive their payments fortnightly.
As far as I know, there is no date set for the payments from the ATO.
the ATO website says payments will begin April 09.
Jodie thats exactly what i read, so i should be eligible.. ill just wait and see![]()
would that mean if i get ftb and i did a tax return last yr i get 2 payments?
sassy, you do have to have had a tax liability of more than nil so its not just dependant on having done a tax return. Check out the ATO site. xx
i just thought of another question.
last itme when we got the $1000 when we went into the centerlink site and looked at our payments it had the $1000 added to our next payment and gave the date (does this make sense)
so will it do the same this time. cause if so mine says my normal amount is due on the 16th.
I think the payments from Centrelink will come on your usual paydate between March 11-20... thats what I was told, but not by a C'link employee so it may be wrong.
like last time, nothing will show on the centrelink website until at least March 11 as nothing will be uploaded onto the system until then. it's a one off payment and needs to be stimulated after that date
as to whether you get ftbb payment AND the workers payment - i asked at work today and it's still unclear as to whether both will be paid. it is BELIEVED that it will be both payments (if you qualified and were on FTBB on feb 3), but nothing is guaranteed at all. if you are eligible for ftbb but were not current based on estimate on that date, you'll be paid that payment at the end of financial year
FTBB payments will be processed in the fortnight beginning march 11 and may not show on your record until two working days before you are due to receive your regular FTBB payment for the fortnight.
ATO payments will be processed throughout April
BG??
I thought that I was geting FTB part B but I am getting Part A ($48 a f/n) so does that mean I will only get the $900 from the tax dept as I earnt under $80,000 last f/year (07/08)??
As far as I could read that you only get the $900 from c/link if you get part B??
Ill be happy with anything extra at the moment!!

lets face it we r all confused lol
that's it KG
the "single income" payment ONLY applies to those who qualified for FTBB on feb 3 - the school child payment applies to those who qualified for FTBA at same time
the question that is almost impossible to answer is whether you get the worker's payment if you qualify for the ftbb payment - it's very up in the air
