    So proud of my boy

My DS13 goes to a Blue Light Disco on a Friday night and even though these kids are under 16 sometimes it's hard not to worry that there will be a fight or something bad will happen, as some of these boys look rough as guts. When I picked him up last Friday, the parents have to enter the premises, as they will not allow children out, DS acknowledged who I was to the owner and she came over to me and said that DS was such a good boy, very polite and was the first one to break up a fight or try to difuse a heated situation. Well how proud was I, it was so nice to have good behaviour acknowledged. Although I've always told him not to get involved in a fight, he would always break up fights at school too but I guess it's in his nature, I just felt so happy for my boy. Often I've wondered what his behaviour would be like when he's with his mates and I guess worry about peer group pressure so it's nice to have my mind at ease.
    Thanks for reading.

    Regards,
    Dianne
