Lying! Arrggghh

*sigh* Does anyone else have a child that just lies.. I am seriously losing my temper and its only 7am.. I decided to have a vent on here instead of yelling again

Ethan ~ The cat jumped up and knocked bowl off the table (they were outside looking at kookaburras)

I went and looked and sure enough no mess..
Me: where is the mess then..
E: Oh it knocked it right over the veranda..
Me: Well wheres your bowl..
E: I caught it in time only the weetbix tipped out

I said stop lying to me.. I am not stupid.. If you gave your weetbix to the cats thats fine. I don't care.. You do that at least twice a week anyways and always ask and I always say thats fine.. Why do you feel the need to lie to me this time?

E: Sorry yes I tipped it out..

then he got a detention for apparently hitting someone yesterday.. I can't get a straight story out of him.. He hit one person (not hard just playful) cus he thought it was someone else.. aagghhh

Then yesterday afternoon after school..
E: can I go to K house now?
Me: sure just go find his mum and organize it and make sure its all ok
E: sure I;ll meet you back here

Me: waiting waiting waiting.. after 15 mins I get the poops and know he will come to where my bike is.. I wander to get his brothers bike and discover his bike is gone..I can't see him anywhere and I start to panic..Thinking where the hell is he..

I get to my bike and there he is (across the road near the other car park) he was waiting with a different child.. wonders why I raise my voice at him then cries and chucks his usual tanty you're a bad mum face..

I finally get the right story out of him (an hour later) cus I am his mum and I know his thinking. I said to him.. Let me guess.. you went with K to see his mum but saw O on the way and said to K I'll catch O and wait for you out the front you go ask your mum if I can come over then you proceed to go out of the school grounds even though you know I am waiting for you.. even in a spot you can clearly see from the bike racks..

hangs head sheepishly yes I did mum.. and he then lifted his head and said.. Can I go to K's tomorrow

why why why does he lie????? We tell him all the time.. If you have done something wrong.. Yes you will get in trouble for it but not half as much if you lie about it

I think i am going to go mental today..

um yep... here I was thinking that I was the only person wishing the day was over and it's only just begun.
Thank the lord my DS has just walked out the door to catch the school bus or else I would have throttled him.

He is good now. Reading a book.. I feel so bad that we have to start the morning this way..

aaahhhh that's good. I agree, I hate starting the day off this way too. I'm stewing now and know it's going to affect my day *sigh*

I ended up sitting down and having a chat and would you believe it he just lied to me again.. I swear my head is going to explode today.

I said do you have socks on
yes
I hope clean ones (he has a bad habit of being lazy and sticking yesterdays socks on
yes I got them from my room ( I know he has none in his room)
I said don't lie we talked about this
yes im sorry they are from yesterday
why did you lie to me
I didn't want to get in trouble AGGGGHHH
I said very calmly.. Ethan I don't care if you wear stinky socks.. you are the one who is going to have stinky feet and have people not want to sit with you..

OMG parenting is hardwork some days..

I swear between all the boys today I am going to lose it Thank goodness 2 of them are going to school

and then he goes and does this.. he is on the phone to one of his Girl friends and organizing to ride to school. She is coming here and I said well you need to ride her to her place after school. He said well duh mum I have to be a gentleman (aaw)
