Over the next couple of months I have to move DH's office out of the spare room to make room for baby number 3. Although bub will be with me for 4 to 6 months she'll eventually have to go into her own room. Question is do I put 2 of the girls in one room and have the spare room set up as storage for toys and clothes or do I give each child their own room?
My reasoning for having a playroom is that my girls will be close in age and they all play with the same toys, therefore no need to get toy boxes and bookshelves for each room.Plus I could put a spare bed in that room for guests (not that we've had any lately).
Problem is DD1 loves her room to herself so putting DD2 in there may be an issue. The other alternative is to put the baby in with DD2 but DD2 is a lighter sleeper and the bub may wake her up.
Does anyone have any experience with kids sleeping the same room? BTW by the time all this happens DD1 will be 4, DD2 will be 2 and DD3 will 6 months.
Hmmm im one of those mums that all kids must have their own rooms...and not share. Simply cos i was bought up that way and i have always liked my own space.
If you have an area of the house for toys....make that the toy/book area.
My loungeroom is the toy area. Zachery took our guest room so now when we have visitors they sleep on the sofa or get a motel room..LOL

DS & DD shared a room. I moved DD out of mine at 9 mths and they happily shared up until the last week. DD is a light sleeper but there was rarely any issues. I had to separate them this week though as DS kept climbing into her cot at nap/bed time and annoying the daylights out of her.
