    baby and tax

i didnt knwo where to put this so feel free to move it where it goes.

but once u have a bub and they go to childcare does that do anythign when u do u tax return or it only if u claim payments at hte end of the yr.
    Does this make sense?

someone told me that it would be better for DH to claim somethign to do with tax as his is larger then mine. but when we did tax last yr my accountant said there was nothing.

all child care rebates are now done through Centrelink and have been the past two years. basically, if both you and your partner meet the work study training test (engaged in one of these for minimum 15 hours per week) and your child attends child care at an approved centre (you get CCB percentage) you may get a quarterly rebate of some of your costs. but it's ALL administered by centrelink now, nothing through the tax office since the end of the 2006/2007 financial year
