How long after having last depo provera shot...

Well I have had dramas with bleeding with my depo shot so had a second shot as I was told my body should settle.. Well it hasn't and I have decided not to have anymore shots, however as the shot lasts 3 months does this mean I have to wait that long til it is out of my system.. I can't stand the spotting/bleeding anymore. It's really getting me down..

I never got a period for another 3 months after th depo wore off and it was another month or so before I could say I was back to normal
