Advice needed please - what foods to give 7.5month old that has Diarrhoea?

    Hi

Would appreciate advice on what solid foods I should give to K that will not make his diarrhoea worse?

    TIA

Plain toast, avoid dairy... I was told by my MCHN to try gratted apple on toast and sprinkle bit of cinamin on top and grill it lightly. Helps to bind u up a bit.

I find if DD has more then 1 bananna she gets constipated few other things that also block her up so when she has the opposite i use these foods to try to combat the issue... Hope he gets better soon. We woke to the same this morning.

yeh i would have said the same. Toast and banana.. banana on toast yum........

Some foods can cause diarrhea, and others can help stop it.

    Don't eat:

    dairy products (milk or cheeses)
    greasy or fried food
fatty foods including butter, margarine, oils, or nuts
    spicy foods
foods high in "insoluble" fiber. This includes raw fruits or vegetables, whole wheat bread, corn, or any fruit or vegetable skins or seeds.

    Do eat:

    bananas
    plain white rice
    applesauce
cream of wheat or farina cereal
toasted white bread or plain crackers
    plain macaroni or noodles
    boiled eggs
    oatmeal
    mashed potatoes
yogurt (This is a dairy product, but it's partially "digested" by the bacteria used to make it.)
