are you on any payment other than ftb?

if you're not, it's not relevant - all you need to do is let them know for child care benefits within 14 days AFTER you've started studying

can i just ask - are you INSANE starting study so soon after bub arrives lol

Hi hun, no advice on Centrelink but wanted to give you some words of encouragement!

Since you've got a little 'un already you'll know that the first few months are the easiest ... well IMO and in terms of studying they are easy, you can rick bub in the rocker and they'll be happy, they don't need too much entertainment as their either sleeping or looking at things...

Now Jazz is moving around, wanting heaps more attention and entertainment, and ESPECIALLY now she's dropped to one day sleep I'm finding it more difficult and definaetly relying more on Shel once she gets home rather than studying during the day. So you're a clever cookie for studying early I started when Jazz was 4 months, I was just about ready at 2-3 months... I'm so glad I did start earlier, got some out of the way. So good on you! Its tough, but great to have something else to focus on, to have a 'break'.

Hun, personally i would let them know ASAP that your studying anyway...regardless of if payments/CCB/CCR change. I just know too many people that have been caught out by all different things with centrelink ( and some even did ALL the right things and had evidence to back it up) and they still had to pay all the money back.

Better to be safe than sorry i say.

Good luck with the study hun,
    xx

with FTB it is NOT necessary - there is no income from study, so the only thing that needs to be notified as to study is whether you will be studying for ccr purposes (and ccb if you need more than 24 hours per week) - there is nothing else that will be impacted.
