Turtles, Tortoise, whatever they are called.

Has anyone ever had one as a pet? I remember we used to have one at the Kinder I went to. My boys have a turtle at their kinder, but its only a plastic one in a shell, showing the kids how things hatch out of shells.

I was thinking about getting a real one for at home, but am unsure of what is required to look after one.

How much do they cost? What sort of setup do u need tank wise? Do u need any licenses? What do they eat?

If anyone could give me some advice that woule be good.
