Question Something is wrong with AF....

Well after a pregnancy scare, af has arrived... it is the 2nd one post baby.

It is massivly heavy. *TMI ALERT*

I have been absolutely soaking through Heavy tampons in under 2 hours, so switched to pads, and it has smallish blackish clots all through it.....I had to show Ad, (poor Ad), and he's worried I might have an infection or something?

The only time I have had clots was with my 2 early miscarriages, but they were larger, bloody clots, not small blackish ones.....

What is it, does anyone know, or had this before? Could it be post partum, 14 weeks later, after already getting af???

I'm having a bad run lately, and still feel like crap...

With the ever-so-feint positives you had on some tests, do you think it could be a miscarriage?

I think it wouldn't hurt to see a dr or something if the bleeding is unusually heavy for you and if you're worried about it.

Hope it eases up for you. *hug*

Hmmmm, it's hard to say, but I think considering your pregnancy scare, it's possible it's a very early loss or maybe it's just a heavy period

I think if you're concerned enough to post about it, then you should go and talk to your GP, especially if you're worried it might be an infection.

Thats whats strange.. all the cramping and pain before I got af has all eased up now.. i still feel "blah' as such, but the pain has gone...

I've never had a uterine infection, would it hurt or anything?

Hi, I think if you had an infection you would really know about it, does it smell etc? I think it is pretty normal for AF to be a bit strange for a while, sometimes it can alter for good, I used to have a 7 day AF then after first DD went to 3 days and very heavy??? I have clots every cycle, I think it is due to it being very heavy, or like the others suggested maybe you did have an early MC if you are concerned contact your doc.

Reading between the lines here - but if you've had some very faint + HPT's its probably an early loss. They don't necessarily involve any pain at all before or during the bleeding. Keep and eye on the bleeding & if it gets too much see your doctor.

Maybe you need an U/S. Its not too late to still have retained products from your baby. I have heard of people needing D&C 6months after birth. You may also need you Hb checked to make sure your not anemic if your period is heavy. Hope it clears for you
