Cool Help needed to name a female "see and eye" puppy

    Birth Notice
On Wednesday 11 March, Ireland (Yellow Labrador) and Henry (Golden Retriever) proudly announced the safe arrival of their 8 puppies ? 3 boys and 5 girls. Mum and pups are doing fine.

These pups will become see and eye dogs.

Can you help me name one of the girls?

Any explanation for name choice would be appreciative. I was thinking a name with real meaning behind it would be great.

    TIA

I think Helen or Keller (or Kella) would be a beautiful name for a seeing eye puppy.

Niga - Persian name derived from the name Nigah, literally meaning sight, vision but usually rendered looking after.

Not sure if it would suit a female dog, but Sherpa - as in the guides in the mountains.

I'd call her "Iris" which I think is just BEAUTIFUL for many reasons -

It's a part of the eye, which we see with

It's got the "IR" at the start like her Mama's name

And the name meaning for Iris: The girl's name Iris \i-ris\ is pronounced EYE-riss. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "rainbow". A flower name. Mythology: Iris was a messenger-goddess who rode rainbows between heaven and earth to deliver messages.

    I think it's gorgeous

How adorable your puppies must be!! And such an amazing service they will perform! Congrats!

Emma - there's a wonderful book called "Emma & I" which is about a blind woman and her dog - and her journey through blindness.

One of the reasons we have a chocolate lab now
