There has been so much negative press about this vaccine since it came out, but medical brainwashing is still rife... need to be informed about this stuff before jumping in and accepting it all for gospel.... not good. I haven't had it and will not.

This was forwarded to me by a midwife friend...thought it was an interesting read, although it is from July 2008.
Controversial HPV Vaccine Causing One Death Per Month: FDA Report
140 "serious" adverse reactions, including 27 "life threatening" cases, 10 spontaneous abortions, and 6 cases of the debilitating Guillain-Barre Syndrome reported since January 2008
By Peter J. Smith
WASHINGTON, D.C., July 3, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - One death per month is the average loss of life associated with the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil according to an FDA report obtained by a government watchdog agency.
Merck, the makers of Gardasil, are poised to make profits in the billions from the vaccine, which protects against some cancer-causing forms of the sexually transmitted human papilloma virus (HPV), but the pharmaceutical giant has come under heavy criticism for fast-tracking the drug onto the market without adequate testing in order to beat out its rivals.
Judicial Watch, a public interest group that campaigns against government corruption, uncovered documents through the Freedom of Information Act that show the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) received reports of 10 deaths associated with Gardasil since September 2007, and 140 "serious" reports of adverse reactions, including 27 "life threatening" cases, 10 spontaneous abortions, and 6 cases of the debilitating Guillain-Barre Syndrome since January 2008.
Judicial Watch also found 8,864 Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) records associated with Gardasil, more than double the 3,461 events that had been reported with the HPV vaccine in Fall 2007. Many experienced outbreaks of genital warts from the HPV vaccine.
The watchdog group says the number of deaths associated with the vaccine is at least 18 and possibly as many as 20.
Eleven deaths occurred less than a week after receiving the vaccine. Seven women died in less than two days. The most common diagnosed cause was blood clotting. One woman died from a clot within 3 hours of the vaccine. One 20-year-old woman, with no medical history reported, died April 4, 2008 just four days after receiving Gardasil.
The serious adverse events include anaphylactic shock, grand mal convulsion, foaming at mouth, coma, paralysis, and death.
Another 23 year-old woman was vaccinated with her first dose of Gardasil on January 31, 2008 and thereupon went into anaphylactic shock. The report says, "patient experienced anaphylactic shock 2 minutes after vaccination characterized by a brief loss of consciousness... respiratory arrest, eyes rolled upwards, blurred vision and greyish skin tone... Anaphylactic shock was considered to be immediately life-threatening."
A 14 year-old girl took six steps after being injected with the vaccine before she collapsed to the floor unconscious and foaming at the mouth. The girl regained consciousness after "a 60 second grand mal seizure" and had "pale clammy skin" and blood pressure of 60/40.
A VAERS report from a physician stated a female patient was inoculated with a dose of Gardasil and, "Subsequently, the patient experienced a coma and is now paralyzed."
Merck & Co. has invested heavily in getting US states to mandate Gardasil to schoolgirls as young as 11 for sexually transmitted HPV in order to beat out rival GlaxoSmithKline's vaccine Cervarix. Merck successfully lobbied the FDA to fast track Gardasil to the market, which critics have charged essentially makes US women part of a massive testing experiment.
JPMorgan Analyst Chris Schott told Forbes.com that since GlaxoSmithKline PLC was delaying submitting more information to the FDA on its cervical cancer treatment Cervarix until the first half of 2009, he projects Merck to dominate the market, while Cervarix will manage only 25% market share by 2012.
"Given all the questions about Gardasil, the best public health policy would be to re-evaluate its safety and to prohibit its distribution to minors," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "In the least, governments should rethink any efforts to mandate or promote this vaccine for children."

oh wow thanks for bringing that to my attention lime
*sighs* I've still got my third needle lol now Im going to be freaking out! Me getting it was a split decision it was the last day before you couldn't get it free anymore and my doctor talked me into it, right then and there.
hrmmm knowing that im not sure wnhat ild do now if i even had that choice
aside from the immediate medical side effects, I just hope it doesn't have negative impact on children borne to these women who hav had the vaccine down the track...they have no idea what the long term side effects are.
Very scary they have pushed this so hard as completely safe.
I haven't had and will never either. Nor will, daughter
Yeah, it's the pushing it so hard and just handing it out at schools etc that scares me with this one. People don't even know what it is.. they think it is a vaccine for cervical cancer.. not realising it's a vaccine for HPV which could cause cervical cancer. Vaccinations should stay as something you get from a GP. If there are questions that need to be asked of the girls such as sexual activity and possible pregnancy etc, then I think they need to be asked confidentially by their doctor, not whilst lined up at school.
I worry too that a whole generation of women have received this untested. I guess now they will unwittingly be the subject of future studies.
Very scary to read of the frequency of these reactions to the vax. :/
Well I know GPs get incentives for kids being vaccinated, my bet is they do for this too... money makes the world go around... not best health practices.

I will never let my daughters have this vaccine that's for sure. The ridiculous thing is, parents are lining up their teen daughters to have it, when they could aleady have been exposed to the HPV - how many teen girls do you think would have at least engaged in some very heavy petting, if not actual sex these days, let alone a woman already into her 20's? There was a huge increase in the propaganda - opps - I mean advertisingof this vaccine after the last roud of negative publicity and no doubt there will be after this one too.
The way they have gone about this is scarmongering at its very best - you only have to mention cancer and vaccine in the same sentence together and people will stampede to get it.
my 13 yo neice was given the vacc at school and suffered some quite adverse reactions, when her mother took her to the doctor and asked if it was possibly related to the vacc, she laughed in her face and said not to be ridiculous!!
my neice was ill for about 2 days afterwards, nausea, headaches, diarrhea, blurry eyes.
my SIL now doesnt want her to have the other 2. fair enough!
It is scary that they refuse to acknowledge that there can be any side effects from it. If you look at the gov websites about it the only side effects mentioned are redness, pain and swelling at the injection site and mild fever, they are just not doing enough reporting of these instances where girls are having obvious side effects so they can get a true and clear picture of it. It proves that it is all part of the big brainwash over it.
I refused it for my DD13 when they did the mass vax at her school last year. Too scary, too unknown it rings very loud alarm bells in my ears...
Yep Deb. It shouldn't matter which side of the vaccination fence you sit on, this is the one time you should just hold off on it till more is known about the long term effects of it.
I had the first one of these vaccines a couple of years ago(no reactions) but never went back for the other 2 shots after further info came out about it. This is a real scary one as it is so new. I am even worried about having one of the shots for it!
My children are ordinarily fully vaccinated, but because there are other methods of avoiding HPV, I allowed my teenaged daughters to make up their own minds about this vaccine. Dd1 had it - and I think wishes she hadn't as she was (probably coincidentally) very run down and had glandular fever soon after that took many months from which to recover. Dd2, who is now seventeen, had severe reactions to vaccinations when she was small, and so has declined the vaccine after informing herself of the risks and benefits.
My concern is how quickly this vaccine became mainstreamed, effectively turning this generation of girls into guinea pigs.
That's so often the way with vaccines, though, isn't it? After having her triple antigen at age 3 (this was a long time ago before they changed the combination), my dd2 had febrile convulsions, vomiting and significant swelling and pain at the injection site. I'm talking a massively swollen red arm that could not be moved, from the elbow to the shoulder, not just a little hot red lump as you'd expect. The kid was clearly having a massive inflammatory response to the vaccine. The doctor refused to report it as an adverse reaction saying that it can often make kids "a bit sick". She was more than "a bit sick"! There really needs to be some independent mechanism for parents to report adverse reactions to these things.
The sad thing is, I am generally very pro-vaccination and my kids have had everything other than varicella vaccines and gardasil, but when the medical profession diminish parental concerns like that, it makes it harder to make a credible case for their safety.
Wow. My initial response is to wonder what in God's name they are diluting the vaccine with. I don't think it's the HPV itself - HPV is a fairly benign infection, it's the long term side effects (ie. the increased risk of cervical cancer) that is the problem. But these reactions are immediate. I think it must be the diluents to blame...
Angie is a "needle phobe" like me, so I won't let them do vaxs for her at the school. She has to be somewhere there is someone I know understands the condition and check her for reactions just to getting a needle. So she was going to get this lot with our loal doctor.
But with this kind of information, DH decided on the spot she and Lyta wont be getting it at all now.
