    Ant graveyard

We have an ant graveyard behind our kettle! There's heaps of dead ants there. I clear them away, and more appear. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. On a few occasions I've actually seen a live ant dragging a dead ant there! Then, yesterday morning I found two dead ants in the bottom of my cup of tea Blah! They must have been in the kettle.

I cleared the latest lot of dead ants away and put down some bay leaves to dry and deter the live ants from bringing the dead ants there, but it hasn't helped. More dead ants keep appearing!

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to stop this from happening! It's driving me mental - I hate ants!!!

Very strange!I have no idea why that would happen.

Maybe try lemon juice around the area... another thing that ants don't like.

    How very annoying though!

It's so strange. We don't have a live ant problem... I don't see live ones very often, just when they're moving their dead!

    Hi there,
We had the same problem in our bathroom - ours actually looked like dark sawdust or something. Each time I cleared it away it would return not long after. When we had our pest control done, the guy said exactly what you mentioned - it's like a graveyard! He just sprayed it with some chemical (nothing too harsh) and it's done the trick!
Hope you can get rid of them soon!

Try peppermint. Or you can draw a line of chalk around the area you don't want them to go - works for cat food bowls too
