    Question Abdominal tenderness

    Hi Girls

Has anybody experienced very low abdominal muscle tenderness when they cough, sneeze or get up too quickly?

    Hi Joce!

Congratulations! And absolutely, I get the sharp stabbing stitch like pains when I sneeze, cough or move too quickly, say when I roll over in bed... The pain lasts for maybe 10 - 30 seconds?? I was worried about it but have done alot of research and asked my Doc as well as a few friends who have had babies and it seems normal, and really, even a bit common! Mention it to your Doctor though, he may want to investigate further and the only silly question is the one you don't ask! Everyone's different but I'm sure it's not too much to worry about...

Congrats again and Good Luck!! xx

    Hey Joce
    Totally normal!
Its your uterus stressing, i was really worried about them when i had DD, but yep - its just one of those lovely pregnancy perks we get!
Alicia i would always get them at those times too, sneeze, cough, move too quickly, roll over -the list continues!
    Congratulations on your pregnancy,
    enjoy every moment!

Super normal, especially in the first trimester - well that was the case for me at least. It's just your ligaments stretching - all very, very normal. Congrats on your pregnancy!!!

    hi..

I have had the same, nothing to stress about.

Ive have bad abdominal cramping for the last 6 weeks. It comes and goes, however im now 13 weeks and it has started going away.

I only get slight cramping now after intercourse.

Im pretty sure its just the uterus stretching and accomodating for the growing bub.
At 12 weeks the baby takes up most of the uterus, so i think thats when it might ease a little, as mine has pratically gone and im 13 weeks.

    congrats on your BFP!!
    All the best xx

Ooooh yeah - the sneezing is a shocker if I forget to brace myself and don't sort of tense my stomach muscles before I sneeae I get a terrible stabbing pain. I can remember this happening with my first two aswell.
