I haven't tried it but I have read alot about it, my Osteo recommended it but unfortunately there are none on my side of town or close by.

Does sound like a really good idea though!

    Thumbs up

    Hi Souful,
I've been doing Preggi Bellies twice a week since I was 13 weeks. Personally I love it.
I'm not sure if all locations are the same but mine is never an easy workout, which I like the most about it. I'm supposed to be going until I'm 38 weeks so fingers crossed. Let me know if you need any more info

    Thanks for the feedback PenKnee.

How tailored are the sessions? Do women at all stages of their pregnancy perform the same excercises?

Also, did you find the intensity okay at 13 weeks or would you recommend starting earlier?

    Thanks again.

    Hey Souful,
Our instructor will do basically half the class cardio - I'm not sure how fit you are but I found the cardio pretty straightforward at 13 weeks and even now at 26 weeks I still like to fit a couple of good walks in each week for extra cardio.

The other half of the class is devoted to weights/toning. For example, we will usually do a track for biceps/shoulders, one for legs (squats or lunges), one shoulders or triceps (basically push ups or tricep work), one abs track and one bracing/core hold track (I think that covers everything ) Its basically up to the instructor what we do however our instructor is good at rotating things around for us and sometimes throwing something different in like pelvic floor work for example.

I found the intensity of the weights/toning pretty high at 13 weeks (but like any group exercise its as hard or easy as you want it to be). But there are always easier options or slight modifications offered (just make sure you tell the instructor if you have any problems like pelvic pain, back pain and so on) - I don't think I'll be doing the same options later on in my pregnancy as I am now, but at least I know now that I'll still be catered for when I am 30-odd weeks, even if I am moving a little slower . I'm booked into classes until I'm 38 wks and in the last couple of weeks we've had a couple of girls attending until then aswell so hopefully that's not unrealistic of me to go until then. Hope this helps!!
