seats for a hilux?

Hi, I just bought a Safe'n'Sound meridian car seat for my Toyota Hilux. I haven't installed it yet, but yesterday while shopping I got talking to a bloke in another baby shop and he said there is no way a Meridian will fit in the hilux!!!

He was very pushy and rude and I don't know if he was just trying to make the other shop look bad, but now I am actually a little worried about it. Does anyone here have a Toyota Hilux and if yes, what car seats fit in your car?

We have the Safe'n'Sound - Meridian and we have a Mazda CX7, from memory the Hilux is a bigger car, I would say he was trying to make the other store look bad b/c he didn't get the sale. If you are concerned, maybe contact the store where you puchased it and ask them.
The store we purchased ours from allows you to take the display seat from the shelf and try it in your car before making a purchase.
You could also check the safe'n'sound website, but I think you will be fine.

We have that car seat & we had until recently a Holden Rodeo Duel cab....I would say they have same amnt of room if not less & it fit fine.

Thanks for the replies - I'm sure it will be fine too. This dude just really rattled me! DH was supposed to install the seat today but work kinda got in the way so tomorrow will have to be the day. I'll keep you posted on how it fits
