Question Help!!! What pre school for Zavier???

Zavier will go to the same Catholic school the big kids are at, and so thought I would send him to the same pre school the other kids went to, just around the corner from the school, so most of their friends went to the same school with them, so was all good.

But it has changed a lot since then, and I dont like it...

So now I have to find a new preschool soon, and book him in. We have a Montassori pre school here, and thought Za would love it, but its on the other side of town. I have no problems driving him there if its a good school, but will he take any freinds from there, all the way over here to our big school?? Will he go to big school not knowing anyone??

Or should I just find another one closer to school, so he'll take friends with him??

Its so hard now, it was easy with the big kids, the preschool used to be fabulous....

OMG, I just had to share.... I've been on the phone all morning to preschools, and Za is getting really excited. He loves craft, and goes to the library once a week for craft and story time...

I just found him with his sisters stamp collection, gluing them all on a sheet of paper!!!! He said he was making craft to take to preschool to show his new friends!!!!

I better get this kid a preschool quick smart!!!

Oh, and poor sis when she gets home....

i was going to send mr M to a montesorri but we moved 400kms so really is to far to drive..hehe
do the montesorri have a school that most of those kids will then go to? or do they spread out?
you can ask the director where most of the kids end up going from the pre school..

montesorri schools are GREAT for boys and they way boys think..

    Thats what I thought!!!

There are two schools near the Montassori, but I wouldn't send any of my kids to them!!!

being as it is on opposite sides of town, I'm not sure how many kids will then go onto the same school as Za....I will definatly talk to the director in the next few days, and take Za around a few places... he just rang daddy at work and said "mummy is finding me a "little preschool" cause i'm too little for "big pre school!!"... he means big school, like the other kiddies...

I went to a Montessori school, and know enough about it because of my job. I personally don't like it because I think it's too stifling for children's creativity. Every activity has a specific purpose and has to be carried out in a certain way, with not a lot of room left for imagination.

If you think about how many people you remember from your pre-school - I've got two good friends that I remember from then - then you'll know how important it is to have them. That said, I didn't take any of those friends to primary school with me. I then didn't take any friends from primary to high school with me and it worked to my advantage as an opportunity to re-invent myself.

So, um, I guess I haven't really helped you, but had to make you feel loved!!!

Oh, now I'm dissapointed..... I thought it was supposed to give each child what they like and prefer, and didn't stifle their creativity, and was more about giving the kiddies choices....

uuummmm, must go back and re-read the website.....
