    A Doctor Stuff up

Im sure I felt o+ last friday, but come sunday I was cramping!

Went up to hospital, sat up there for 2 hours before I was even triaged, had a hypo with a BSL of 2.1 in the waiting room! Almost passed out, only to have some A*** tell me that I would be better to terminate if I was, based on my medical concerns!

.....ummm...EXCUSE me......would you like to tell a woman who smokes through her pregnancy you want to take her baby! Thats a medical concern!

So, today is Wednesday and I was CRYING with the pain, absolutly scared to death not knowing what was happening to my body! "This doesn't feel right!" I kept trying to tell them!

So couldn't get in to my just wonderful GP..so I had to go back to the Hospital! I was in excruciating agony sitting there for 5 hours!

By 4pm I was informed I had a severe UTI!!!!!!!!!! Symptoms I have NEVER experienced before! Just cramps and hot swollen feeling across my tummy, thats it! No stinging burning pee at all!

    Fair dinkum!!!

My first UTI was like that. Apparently the infection had moved upwards or something.

I had a moron doctor too, who took a BT because my symptoms were so unusual. Useless idiot couldn't find a vein at all - now I've been a blood donor for 8 years of my life - there are active veins in there.

I hope you feel OK soon!

Does it indicate you might be pregnant? Coz thats just bizarre, I get them often coz of the diabetes!

Anyhow, the Trimethiprim buscopan and panadol are working ok.

    cheers.

That's a horrible, and incredibly discrimantory thing to say. I am so sorry that they said that to you. Would you feel comfortable in making a complaint? It might make the person think about what they said (?? hopefully), and it might help other people in similar circumstances.

Hope you feel better soon, and get proper, respectful medical attention if needed.

    Take care,

    Kate

    Thanks Kate,

No, sometimes it's better to save yourself the stress and just become a stronger person. Experience has shown me in the public health system your just a small fish in an ocean of sharks!

He is just one doctor in the public health system..........enough said already!!!.......and just take comfort in the knowledge that if he was my GP I'd SACK him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .......But Kevin Humphrys MP (NSW shadow Minister for Health) will be making a visit to my center shortly!!!!
