Progesterone Pessaries - Crinone - When did you stop?

    Hi Everyone

I am new to this thread only having got my BFP yesterday. Yay!

My HCG levels are good 282 but I didn't do a BT for progesterone - just for HCG. Anyway my FS has told me to stop using the pessaries and I feel really worried about that as I've read lots of things saying that people normally continue on progesterone until 12 weeks.

My FS basically said that if it's a viable pregnancy then it will continue on its own without progesterone and if I continue on the progesterone and it's not a viable pregnancy then all I will be doing is artificially prolonging an unviable pregnancy.

Anyone else stopped using progesterone as soon as they got their BFP? If you continued then for how long did you continue and why?

Many thanks for any help on this.

    X

I got placed on progesterone pessaries due to falling P4 levels. I started off with a P4 of 26 at 5w when I started the pessaries, and finished the pessaries at the end of the 10th week. HTH!

    Congrats on the BFP!!!! Wahooooooooo

Congrats on the BFP! I was on crinone until I was nine weeks along, but that was during a medicated FET cycle, so my body wasn't producing any progesterone of its own.

It can be a tough and anxious time, so take care of yourself and your little one!

I stopped using pessaries as soon as I got my BFP. It was a stim cycle and my blood test was done on the 14th day after my egg collection. I have a 5 month old little boy cooing away on my lap as a result of that cycle!

    Congratulations and good luck!
