    EDD after ovulation induction

    Hi there everyone,

Does anyone know how to correctly calculate EDD if you have had ovulation induction with FSH and a trigger injection?

My EDD is supposed to be 20th October (worked out from 1st scan) but this would mean that I ovulated 5 days after trigger and sperm would have had to hang around for 6 days! I thought that after trigger you ovulated 36-48 hours after. Surely it would be more accurate to work out EDD from this rather than the scan which is +/- 4 days accurate even at 6 weeks. If I work it out as 38 weeks post when I think I ovulated even with conservative estimate of ovulating at 48 hours) then my EDD is 17th- 3 days different.

I know it seems crazy to worry about 3 days difference but it's really bugging me as the nurses were so dismissive when I tried to ask about EDD. Surely most people don;t have the luxury of knowing exactly when they ovulated so it seems silly not to work out EDD from this when you can.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this or can tell me to shut up and stop worrying about it!

    Thanks!

    LS x

With my FSH injections I calculated day 1 as first day of injections so that would be like 1st day of period kind of well thats the way my FS worked it out for me when I was UTD and she was correct and checking with US so I am assuming thats how u calculate it So calculate 9 months from 1st day of injections..
