Any Dye Ideas

Hi all,

I need to dye some chair covers. I thought I could bleach them to start off. So I put the bleach through the washing machine (as per instructions on back), but it actually did nothing to the original colour.

Anyway, does anyone have a recommended dye and colour remover solution?

What fabric are you dyeing? What colour is it now and what colour do you want?

I have no idea what it is! It is quite thick upholstery material. It is a blue and yellow tarten, I was hoping to lighten it at least, then maybe dye it green?

Basically we have an old cane setting and have painted it white, but the yellow looks really pasty, and we have green cushions on the lounge so thought it might tie it together.

I just found it really strange the bleach didn't even lift it at all. Does that mean the dye won't grab either?
