We have liked the quality and value of aldi nappies, but they occaisionaly leaked up the bac, so we moved into the bgger size and it was fine for a while, but now we are getting regular leaks again. DS is too small to go into a bigger nappy, and often the leak occurs when the nappy is not even very full. It always leaks in the same place, on the back left side. It happens when he is lying down. Usually when he is asleep. I try to be careful to put the on properly. It doesnt happen every time, but over last night we had 3 leaks!
Hmm, I didn't have any probs with Aldi nappies leaking. Just a thought though, if it's alwyas leaking in the same spot when he lies down it might be the way his 'doodle' is pointing when he lies in a certain position.
Hi Salsa,We have tried about 5 different brands and have ended up sticking with snugglers. Big W sells them and they have 3 runners down the side to prevent leakage(eg baby love only has one and we had leakage constantly) they are quite good price too $33 for a box of around 110. Worth a try!
I had the same issues with Aldi- good for certain ages/sizes, but then he would grow or change size and things would leak.
We now use Woolworths Select brand and love them. You can get two big boxes (a total of like 177 nappies) for $50. Great value and we've never had a problem with them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I dont have Big W near me (i`d have to go right into Melboourne central!), so I will try the Woolworths ones, I think there is one of those not too far from me (I seem to be surrounded by Coles and aldi`s).
And of course I am keen to try anything else recommended by people who have had to find non leakers
I love the Aldi nappies that I use for the 2 GK's.
Are you anywhere near the outer eastern burbs cause there is a factory that sells about 3 type of nappies. We are trying the 2nds, so far they seem fine.
I think its like a lot of things, what works for some doesn't work for others
I have always been happy with the coles brand ones. The unisex ones that are $15 for 44 in XL, but prob about 60 in a smaller size.
Have you looked into nappy delivery services? DH's work got us 3 months worth as a gift so I don't know the exact prices, but it was around $60 a box of huggies (well over 100 nappies no matter what size) and they are the most expensive. It might be quite cheap for snugglers or another brand, and you wouldn't have to find a store. Just an idea.
Im not sure how many we go through, cause we also use MCNs. We use sposies for nights and outings. So I dont think a nappy service is of use to us really, but nice idea
