taking herbs when doing ivf

I am doing IVF short cycle.My chinese doctor advise to take herbs while doing IVF.

Any advice? Should I take herbswhen doing IVF?

Hi Sunny,

While I was doing acupuncuture during my cycles I took herbs. I think its all part of the "chi"!

As you can see, Im now pregnant So there is no harm in having them.

Hi Sunny,
Just wanted to let you know that both my FS and my acupuncturist both advised against taking herbs during an IVF cycle, something about them interacting with the IVF medications. I know Im contradicting what MissM said, but I thought I would just let you know that I wouldn't personally take them during a cycle but I believe they are ok post transfer- I intend to take some recommended by acupuncturist after my next transfer. Perhaps Im wrong or perhaps some acupuncturists believe in taking them during cycles while others don't, I'm just going by the advice that was given to me. Hope that helps.

I've also been advised against taking them when on the IVF meds. Perhaps ask your FS and see what they advise.
