12 days to go!
How do you ladies psych yourselves up for a tattoo?
I get so excited and nervous as it gets closer! every time! And this is going to be a big one so I don't know what I will do
Its a bit different for me I think as my tattooist is now a good friend and I look forward to catching up with him whenever I have an appointment booked.
I always start 7-10 days before with the body scrubs and moisturizer and then the waxing ( if it's my legs) and that helps keep my mind off things.
The night before I don't sleep much as I'm so nervous and over excited. The journey down I'm fine until the last 10mins then I get really stressed and my stomach starts churning!! As soon as j walk in the door I'm fine - I just wind myself up no end with anticipation.
 I tend to wind myself up a bit too. Its the same with everything for me! needles, drs appts, tattoos piercings! I'm usually fine after I'm in the chair!
What sort of foods do you eat the day before/morning of your tattoo? to keep blood sugar levels up etc?
I'm an awful client and don't eat at all before a tattoo *ooops* all my appointments are full days and I never eat till I'm in the way home.
I sleep through mine, he wakes me up when it's time for a smoke break, and I'll have a coffee if he's making one but never food.
I couldn't sleep when he was doing my ribs and felt really icky with the pain and lack of food :(
haha yea i tend to skip breaky most days and all mine tend to be morning appts! I think I really should try to eat something though  or atleast take a BIG lollipop with me ;)
Got my new ink today, stupidly in love with it. Was sooo cold though and ended up guzzling coffee to try and warm up.
can you link a photo?
Need to have a shower and wash it first but I'll put one up in a couple of hours. It's the inside of my Japanese leg

The dragon head and kanji were stenciled, the rest all hand drawn. It's very swollen as that's my dodgy knee and it's always swollen up. Outline took 3/4 hour, the rest took another 3 hours.
Not exactly my ribs... but I have one on my sternum (breast bone between my boobies). It's a Celtic cross and 14cm long x 7cm wide. I had it done in 1993. It was in black but now it's blue and fuzzy but it still looks pretty good. Not many people know i have it. It's for spiritual protection. It hurt, of course, but no worse than some of the other forms of pain I have had in my life. The tattooist warned me but I didn't want one anywhere else, it had to be there. It burned more than anything.
Gorgeous as always fi
