I bought another two pairs of undies today and it's really beginning to pee me off because I keep buying a couple here, a couple there.
I want to buy about 15 pairs in one go and throw out all my old ones.
But you know what it's like, you can't really try them on so you think, "oh, I'll just buy a couple that look alright, make sure they fit OK, see if they're comfy and buy some more if they're OK."
But then it might be weeks before you go back and then they might have run out of your size or the colour you wanted and the undie buying bonanza actually takes the entire year.
So what do you do? Do you buy a few here and there or buy in bulk?
um I noramlly buy lots in bulk of ones i know I like, and one or two of ones I am trying out. But I like to have at least 15-20 pair on the go at the same time.
The undies I like are the bamboo ones, but they are really exxy, so I only get them when they're on special, Myers usually has a 33% off sale so it's 4 for the price of 3 really! So I guess I buy them in lots of 4
DH's I buy in packs of 7, and chuck out his old ones as I go.
I get a couple here or there when there is a special on. I really need to just chuck the whole lot and get new ones but I never do. I am too cheap to go spend that amount at once on undies. Same with bras too.
I usually buy a few here and there, I agree with the whole, are they comfy, are they the right size (they vary so much) and not to mention they are so expensive these days!
When I was about 8 months pregnant pg with DD I went to a sale, they had 3 packs for $2- bargin, I bought a heap, thought I would take the advise of some lovely BB ladies and buy lots of black undies so after I gave birth I could wear and throw out rather than wash them, well I tried them on and they are the comfiest undies ever... needless to say I washed them and they are still in perfect condition 11 months later .
Will be looking out for that sale again this year .
Like you, I'm never sure if they will fit okay, if the elastic will be okay and not ride up! (Boy legs NEVER ever again! comfy pftt!) So will only buy a couple and then - cause I live an hour away from nearest Big W or wherever, the next time I go in, they don't seem to have the same style. So the process begins again!!
Occasionally if I do find the good ones again, I go all out and buy 7 or so pairs - expensive little things they are! Then the old 'good' ones get recycled to being night knickers and the old 'old' ones get chucked out!
I have had intentions of buying new undies for ages, but of course I havnt. Usually I buy the 7 pack of cotton undies, but they tend to loose their elastic quickly. I might go and buy some this week - if I can drag myself out of the house.....
I dont buy them often. When I do buy them, I usually only get 1 or 2. I still undies that I bought 7 years ago. Theyre still in good condition, so I figure why get rid of them, lol!
i have just bought a 5 pack after complaining for yrs about the state of my knickers...
so now when i throw out a pair i go and by another pair.. i usually just by them from the supermarket as its easier to just chuck them it with my shopping
i tend to find a style i like and just go with them - but it takes a long time to find them so i only buy one at a time until i'm happy. i found some when i first started uni, back in 1997 that i just can't bare to part with - they were only $2 a pair and i loved (and still love) them. i think they'll have to go in the bin post partum though - they're starting to get thread bare but the elastic is still good!
i have some i got from undercoverwear that i loved at the time, but now my body has decided that it doesn't like anything synthetic so i get rash from them - damn shame as they're comfy! so now i have to find new ones somewhere - and when you're a bigger girl that doesn't like wearing granny knickers, that's damn hard to do!
Man, I am so annoyed. One of the pairs I bought yesterday was a pair of Bonds High-Tops.
$17.99!!! How can they charge that for a pair of knickers?
Anyhow, I was so excited I put them on before I went to bed last night. And I don't like them. They give me a muffin top and they're a size bigger than what I would normally buy.
$17.99 WASTED. I could have cried.
I do also find it really hard to throw undies away though even though I have lots that I don't wear. Now I have two underwear drawers and I can't even remember the last time I wore a pair from the emergency drawer.
I do love those Target Organics ones too - the ones with the thin stripes. Talk about comfy. I should just be done with it and buy 15 pairs of those.
I just buy undies all the time. I love them. I think I have so many that they stay in good condition and I don't seem to throw out. I am extremely fussy about the fit. If I get muffin top I don't buy them. If undies fit me perfectly, I feel great wearing them.
I worked out the other day, that I have a lingerie set that's at least 6 years old! How's that for quality! The only reason I know this is because it was given to me by an ex, and so I know how old I was when I got it.
I often get knickers for presents because my mum and friends know that I love them so much, hence I have soooo many.
I am designing a lingerie range ladies, so I would love to hear what you like/love/hate about underwear that's out there.
I still buy undies for my DD2 & sometimes for DD1 and always for their Christmas stocking.
I find that I prefer to buy my undies from the same stores as then I know they have the ones I like. I also get them from Best and Less as they usually have a large range but the down side is that I don't have one near me. DD1 got me into Bonds boy leg but it has to be the correct boy leg.
I usually buy in fits and starts, feast or famine describes my underwear draw.
