What about Myer or David Jones?? They normally do bra fittings
Where do I begin?
I need help. Help with bra fitting. Last week I went to Bras N things (Perth store). I paid $45 for a maternity bra. According to measurements I am 10E. I always thought I was 12B. Anyways the bra doesn't fit right. My breast comes out a little. I just don't know what to do. Does anyone know of bra expert I can go to in Perth besides from Bras N Things?

I got my maternity bra fitting from Myer and they were great...If you got fitted wrong can't you go back and tell them that the bra is to small surly they would re fit you and replace the bra to the correct size
I still would... I mean of course you would have worn it thats how you would have realised that it did not fit properly..I see it that you went in to get professionally fitted and they ended up selling you a bra that was the incorrest size and believe me i have worn a bra when i was breast feeding that had half of one boob sticking out and i ended up with mastitis soooo not good...

If you don't want to take it back you can always go there and get refitted and tell them that you were fitted wrongly before
I will give them a call tomorrow.
Von and Ali-baby,
Myers or David Jones didn't even come into mind. How much did you pay for your matenity bras from there?
I paid $65 but I wore it for dd and then for ds so it was deffinatly worth it I got away with just having 2 but I must say my myer one was my favourite...and they fit you for free so if you decide you don't like any at least they hopefully have given you the right mearsurment so you know what size you are but as I am sure you know bra sizes seem to be different in different brands....Good luck finding one that fits correctly
Thanks for your help.
Not sure if they do maternity bras, but I went to Four Seasons in Carillon City, Perth. I'm a 22F, so I can't find bra's at regular shops, but these ones are brilliant, SO COMFORTABLE!!! Not sure if you're in Perth though![]()
given your size you are going to pay a hefty price for any bra.
My advice is do not go to Bra n Things. They suck. And they will sell you an incorreect size just to sell a bra.
Myer and David Jones are definatley worth a shot. And they will have a large selection.
The other thing is to try looking for a plus size bra store, that sell only DD and bigger. They exist! lol
Good luck hun
If all else fails, have a look for some Hot Milk stuff online, they are awesomeAnd once you have been fitted correctly, then you can order with more confidence
I don't know if I can return my bra from Bras N Things because I can't find my receipt.
sunflowa_girlie- I am located in Perth. Not far from Limeslice. 22F? Is that in American bra sizes?
Limeslice- I don't think my breast are big. You can hardly notice them. Anyways no thanks to milk production. I will need to go to Myers or David Jones.
They probably wont refund it because you dont have your recipt and their argument could be that your breasts have grown since you bought it. I guess you could have told if it felt comfy or not when you tried it on. My SIL is a manager at BNT and I went in there to get fitted. I tried on so many bras but didnt find one I was happy with so I went to Target and found ones I loved.
Did you know Bonds have Maternity bras? I saw them at Kmart today and they have cool designs.
You wont be able t find a bra tht size at KMart ot Target or anything that will fit properly.
If you are fitted as a 10E then you are definately not a 12B!
22F isnt an american size, it is just a large cup size....I am a 16FF or 14 G or GG depending on the bra...lol...so it know how much it sucks trying to find one that will fit.
Anyway, head into perth and get fitted properly, there certainly isnt a shop anywhere down here that will be able to fit you correctly and stock the size you are![]()
I too in the past have been fitted with the 'wrong' size at Bras n things shop & always served by woman in their early 20's... and it happened again at another independent lingerie shop where the woman in her 50's ... yes, i have to admit i thought it might be in my favour to have an an older sales lady this time ... how wrong was i as this older lady got all frazzle and obviously didn't know what she was doing (strangely enough i found out she had worked there for some time
) ... Anyway, i have NEVER had a disappointment with a fitting at Myer with youngish or older sales ladies

A friend of mine is a manager at B&T, But she worked in a specialty lingerie shop before that, and is a certified bra fitter. I would probably recommend going to a lingerie shop that displays the certificates of fitting courses. This friend is in her early 20's but started working in linegrie at 14 and is now 23, so 9 years of fitting bras, and she is good at it.
She taught me what to look for, and has told me that if I am going to get fitted, to either go to her or find somewhere that I can see that the fitters have done the training.
Look at both sides of your BBs. If the cup is not on the outside of your BB then it doesnt fit. The edge of the cup should be near your underarm, and you should not have any spillage on either side of the cup. If you have un-even bbs it is better to get a bigger size and a filler than to be spilling on one side to fit the other. 1 of my BBs is a DD and the other is a D, so I wear a booster on the side with the D cup.
2nd or 3rd floor of Carillion Arcade in the city is a fabulous bra specialist. I mean 'specialist'...they do all osrt - plus size, pregnancy, masectomy patients, tiny boobs, huge boobs and the staff are great.
Can't for the life of me remember their name...let me find you their card.
In Perth right, Artstudent?
