ARGH I am going CRAZY with my dry scalp right now! Can't stand it! I have looooong healthy, shiny, smooth and silky dark hair which without sounding conceited, truly is my crowning glory! Especially since having 20kgs to lose post baby! I feel it's all the "hotness" I have left haha - I NEED a cure to get rid of the tiny flakes from my scalp! It's getting worse! Have tried all the regular supermarket shampoo & conditioners - Head & Shoulders/Garnier Anti Dandruff etc - I always use my Redken Shampoo, Conditioner & Products afterwards, it's my secret weapon and does AMAZING things with my hair, but the dry scalp remains.... Thought perhaps I'd give the Redken a miss for a while to see if those ingredients could be aggravating it but nope, no improvement I am going NUTS!
Anyone had any success with anything?? Would love to hear of some natural remedies, but am willing to give anything a go, I just don't want to go out and spend a bazillion dollars on a specialist product unless I KNOW it works!
Anyone know a sure cure?? Or at least an improvement?
Hi, I recently had thae same problem, really bad scalp and I used an anti dandruff shampoo called Organic Care. I just got it from Woolies and it was actually one of the cheaper brands.. Anyway, it worked for me, I noticed a difference almost straight away, so give it a go. As I said it's cheap, so if it doesn't work at least you haven't wasted much money! It's Australian made and does not test on animals Good Luck!
I second blessedatlast. I had the same problem, really itchy scalp about 2 days after washing my hair and wanted to try something organic to see if I was sensitive to any of the chemicals in them. Found Organic Care and problem solved. Never had it recur. I just use the shampoo and consitioner for normal hair. Good Luck
Ooooo sounds the goods! Will definitely try it! Thanks a bunch ladies! How did it go for your hair?? Wondering if I should still use my "magic" Redken shampoo & conditioner afterwards or if it would be better to go without.... Don't want the dry scalp but do want the glamour locks iykwim!
Thankyou soooo much!
I tend to suffer from dry scalp/dandruff in Winter time. After speaking to my hairdresser about it, I realised that the pattern seemed to always be in the colder months when I would have the water in the shower running A LOT HOTTER. The hot water dries out your scalp I try to watch how hot I have the water on during these upcoming months. We will see how I go this Winter. Hope that helps.
