Red face Arhh!! A wedding dress theme of...

    RETRO!!!

It is on this weekend and I have no idea what RETRO is considered to be these days.

Any hints on what general things I should be looking to wear? HELP!

Anything from last season or before! LOL

In reality I have no idea what that means. I am guessing funky so maybe a cute little A-line dress which is quite "in" at the moment - or a maxi dress.

Anything eighties or earlier would qualify IMO.

My immediate thought was the 80s Madonna look - lots of permed hair, lace dress, lace gloves. Perhaps even an old dress with lovely mutton sleeves!!!! Oh and silk flowers.

I thought more of the 70's - retro funk type idea. Funky tights with whatever you wear... You know, wide headbands - Brigitte Bardot etc...
    Sounds rather tricky hun!!

Thanks! It seems anything goes huh

Sarah I think the bold print look is probably what I would like. Now to find something before Saturday.

Ang, its DH's side of the family and I can just imagine the look on their faces if I came looking like Desparately Seeking Susan . Would be worth it just to see

Ahh why do I leave these things to the last minute.

I have the perfect maxi dress you could have borrowed if my brain could tell me which box I put it in.

Why not a trip to the op shop for one of those funky 70's mini dresses and some boots

I don't get themed weddings.....that said, retro sounds 80's to me. But are other people going to look as daggy if you go for that?
