    Shoes for Different Foot Shapes

This is a thread for recommending a particular style or brand of shoe according to a specific foot shape... example:

Crocs and Birkenstocks fit short/broad/wide feet really well.

Or you can warn against a certain style:

Ballet flats don't work if you have short/broad feet.

    Also... for kids:

Buy lace-ups instead of buckles for children with high insteps.
Converse sandshoes don't seem to fit chubby feet very well.

Just regarding Crocs for kids, i saw recently on today tonight that there'd been a few accidents with them. One child had it caught in an escalator because they bend so easily.

I can't recommend much because i live in Havainias all year round these days
(great for short but wide feet though lol)

Yep, I don't allow my children to wear their Crocs to shopping centres or to Pre-School... but they are great for backyard play... especially messy play that involves paint/dirt/mud etc. And I love to wear mine gardening.

Diana Ferrari and Colorado are often great brands for wide feet.

I also think Skeanie shoes are fantastic for pre-walkers. They seem generous in the width too.

Pumpkin Patch have some good shoes for narrow feet

SureFit have fantastic sandles for short wide feet
Crocs are also good for short & wide. There are many different styles out now so there may be better ones for wearing out and about than the traditional style.

Another havaiana fan here!!! I wear them all year round unless it's too cold or raining and then I'll wear ballet flats (I have narrow feet).

This is by the by but I was beside myself in Wittner the other day when the smallest size they had was too big for me. The style started at a 37 and I needed a 36. VERY annoying.

And they're almost as wide as they are long (or short as the case may be). DIana Ferrari seem to be good and Birkenstocks of course.

hush puppies do wider sizes. My foot is big and broad across the ball but not chubby. so in HP's I wear a 10C and they are great.

also i noticed an ad on the tv for homy peds recently, i always thought they were a bit nanna-ish but some of the new styles look nice. i dont own any but will be looking soon as i hear they are good for broad feet.

Kumfs are good for wide feet as well. They are not cheap though.
