Handbag Drama - Someone From Sydney, Help Me Please!!

OMG. I'm sooo cross!!!
The handle on one of my handbags broke today. I was bringing the boys in from swimming and it just slid off my shoulder.
The stitching in the piece of leather holding the bag to the handle ring has vanished - it wasn't properly glued under the stitching, there is just a tiny spot there.
I bought it from Bahrain and I really can't be bothered with the drama of getting a refund so I just want my baby mended.
Please point me in the direction of a good cobbler or tailor who will be able to re-glue and stitch my handle.

dach - there is a place in the eastern subs where you can buy all kinds of funkee handles and sew them on yourself, or if you want the one you already have fixed there is a great guy out fairfield way, in Ware Street.

Alternatively another half decent guy in Dulwich Hill..... not sure where abouts you are

I can't point you in the direction of a good place to get it fixed but I can sympathise.

I am in the same boat. I bought a Prada when I was in the Greek Islands last year and this week the EXACT same thing happened!! The stitching has started to come undone on one of the straps and is dangerously close to breaking. I'll probably have to find somewhere to get it fixed the next time I want to use it - in the meantime I have my new Marc Jacobs to keep me company!!
