Apparently I'm a shoe addict. I'm in a certain place in Egypt known as "De Nial". My DF (Dear Father, don't get too excited!) has banned me from buying any more shoes.
Just out of curiousity, how many pairs of shoes do you have? Including sandals and slippers, but NOT thongs... (I detest things between my toes, but we aren't going there!)
I don't have many at all, maybe half a dozen. I have a pair of casual shoes plus runners, hiking boots, a couple of pairs of nice shoes that I can wear with trousers and one pair of heels...
I have a pair of RM boots, the new boots I brought the other day, a pair of heeled boots, a pair of low heel shoes, a pair of flats, sneakers and my birkis. So 7 pairs all up, But I'm totally NOT a shoe person.
I do have 2 other pairs of high heels that were for bridesmaid duty but will never ever wear them again and just have not got around to moving them on.
I have 3 pairs in regular wear. My boots every day in winter, my birkens every day in summer and my five fingers when I work out.
I own about 10 other pairs but I wear the first 3 I mentioned 95% of the time.
I didn't count my pink uggish slippers that I wear every night in winter.
1 pair mum trainers (pink and floral, useless for serious sports but can't find a sports pair)
2 pairs flat courts, one black one gold
4 pairs sandles: flat sandles in greyish colour; white sandles with wedge heel; black sandles, 5" stiletto; very silly black sandles, 4" stiletto, with laces that wrap from ankle to knee.
1 pair 3" thin heels in coral
1 pair 4" thick heels in dove grey (they are gorgeous!)
1 pair walking boots
1 pair flat black ankle boots
4 pairs heeled ankle boots - 2" gold suede, loose fitting, 4" brown lace-ups, 4" black zip (calf-length really) and 3" black zip stiletto
1 pair black PVC knee-high 5" stiletto heel
So 16 pairs all up. I would be a shoe person if (a) they were less expensive and (b) they came in my size more often. I wear them according to season and all have been worn in the last year. Outside the house too - the knee-high are great under some boot-cut jeans or with a calf-length skirt. Although I do have to pick where I wear them.
I commonly wear the ankle boots, grey heels, flat courts for driving and the white sandles.

: I forgot some!
I however get around mostly in thongs but if its raining/too cold i will wear flats or my work shoes. I only wear my runners when im exercising. So the rest are heels, wedges, boots and sandals.
5 pairs ballet flats
4 pairs sandals/thongs( ok you said no things but these are leathery flower ones that count right? If not then 3!
2 pairs of Asics
3 casual runners , puma type, sands goes and Keds!
2 pairs heeled wedges, brown and black
2 pairs boots knee high, black and brown
1 pair crocs for gardening
Gumboots
Many havianas but not counting them!
Ok so roughly 20ish! That doesn't count a few pairs of shoes I don't wear but still have floating around like silver bridesmaid shoes!

2 pr of summer sandals (that i wear constantly in summer)
1 pr fancy shoes (that i bought when i THOUGHT i was getting married, back in 2003, never wear, cannot bear to part with). Gorgeous shoes. They were to get married in. Classy, thirties style mary jane with a heel.
1 pair sneakers i bought in 2001, that hurt my feet so i don't wear them much, feel like i SHOULD have one pair of sneakers, so i keep them.
1 pair slip on sort of sneakers, that i wear virtually every day in winter, bought in 2002, really should toss them. Colorado has gone bust, i can't replace them.
1 pair black boots that i got in 2000 from opshop, have resoled and reheeled them twice, i used to wear them in winter alot, before separation, now i rarely wear them, so comfy.
i find shoe shopping so scarey, they're so expensive, i'm scared of buying a lemon, so i put it off, for much longer than i should. There are so many dodgy shoes out there. Shoes that look great on top, but have slippery soles. I wrecked my feet in my early 20's (living in stilettos back then) so now i have to be careful, no more heels for me.
