I started a thread ibefore about laser hair removal and it turns out it's a bit more expensive then I thought it would be! I'm getting it done but it got me thinking about how easy it would be to spend a fortune on beauty therapy, hair etc.
So I wrote out a list of everything I would have done (if I had the money) to make myself happy!!!
Laser hair removal (bikini line)
Brace for my teeth and straightened
Contact lenses or laser eye surgery
Boob job
I thought it would be interesting to find out what other people would have done if they had unlimited money.
(By the way, this is all very tongue in cheek and I know I don't need these things to be happy so please don't tell me I should love myself as I am because I do! )
i would love :
braces for my top teeth.
nose job
boob job
longer feet!! (i am a kids size 5)
lipo on my thighs to make my knee area smaller .. and to stop the "thigh rub" in summer (tmi)
lol.. thats about it really ...
ETA... thankss for reminding me ambah... teeth whitening would be my number 1 ... how could i have forgotten that
oh ... lipo on my hips to stop the muffin top
and a bum lift
i will be doing laser hair removal on my "love purse" it will be ALL OFF as its been that way for about 5 yrs and waxing every month really hurts !!
I would consider a boob job after I'm finished having (and feeding) babies. I quite like the shape of my boobs but as I was a swimmer for 14 years, they have never grown much bigger than a (full) B cup, but since being pregnant I have found that I love my bigger boobs (D cup) and feel a little more confident IYKWIM. Still getting used to the bigger tummy though, but definitely loving the bigger boobies!
(Just to reiterate along the same sort of lines Rachel said, this is to make myself feel better, not DH who is actually not 100% sold on my plans).
Firstly i need to get my bottom teeth straightened with braces + have my teeth whitened(will probably get this in about a year anyway)
Then i would like a boob job and a tummy tuck after i finish having babies.
Firstly, I disagree with the ethics of cosmetic surgery, but...
Laser hair removal for moustashe, underarms, arms, tum, bikini line, legs.
Teeth... just a new set! I have gaps, leaning teeth, not straighth teeth, slightly discouloured teeth, only one canine tooth... I'd love to start over with my teeth!
I wouldn't have any more done. The above is more than enough vanity for me! I've already had one op on my feet, which had the added bonus of taking me down a size so I can finally buy girly shoes, so can't really complain about those any more.
Teeth Whitening
boob job when I finish having babies
something done to my baby belly- lipo or tummy tuck when I finish having babies too!
laser eye treatment
laser hair removal
That's only if I could bring myself to terms with the pain involved!! And if I could afford it of course, which will probably never happen!!
Given that I work in the beauty therapy - I'm surrounded by this sort of stuff....
Like Ness... I would love to be an "extrememe makeover" contestant....
And if time/money was no issue then I would go with the following:
- eyelid lift... it bugs me that my lids droop onto my lashes.
- nose job... nothing to extreme; remove bump & refine...
- boob reduction & lift (even made enquiries about this years ago)
- tummy tuck & lipo; moreso since having kids
- teeth whitening and veneers on front 4-6 teeth.
- fat removal from under chin
Wow, there seems to be a common theme here! Maybe if we all booked in for everything at the same time we could get a group discount lol!!! Or how about a Special BellyBelly Extreme Make-over (for the people not the site lol!).
Nixonsmama - at least you can buy kids shoes which are cheaper!
teeth done - you know like on extreme makeover - the whole veneers etc.
boobs - I'd like them the size they are when BF...lol.
ummm liposuction of the thighs and unsagging of my butt
oh and tuckshop lady arms... HELLO!!
I'm not sure about my little apron flap from kiddies, cos that's part of my bubbies IYKWIM. I think that's about it. I don't know if I'd actually ever have the guts to do these things even if I did have the money though...lol. It's nice to dream though
yeah... it hurt.
for the lips I had a dentist give me a full mouth block... so it didn't hurt getting the tattoo done. But the lips swelled up like a duck for a day or two! (not a good look).
I got the eyeliner done about 15+ years ago, so I can't remember it now... but I'm sure it hurt.
Eyebrows weren't so bad. Not many nerves in the eyebrow area. was able to rub some anaesthetic cream into it as well.
I had a toe ring tattoo'd onto my toe - and that killed! There's not much fat on my toes. And the ink "spat out" after a few weeks, so I had to go back and get it done a 2nd time!
I'm a sucker for pain....
mind you - nothing compares to the pain I suffered when I was in labour last year!!! posterior baby! ouch!!!
